Ventrilo Introduces Quality FREE VoIP

As the time passes, there will be many updates to the VoIP platform and the technology that is associated with it. SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is based upon VoIP connections, which means a user can connect over a network and use a VoIP ?softphone? application such as Ventrilo and can talk to any other user around the world.
Ventrilo has become a great tool for VoIP based calling and is compatible with multiple platforms including the Apple Macintosh and Microsoft Windows operating systems. All you need is a sound card, speakers, and a microphone to talk FREE to another Ventrilo user over the internet. Furthermore, Ventrilo also allows multiple calls to be placed from one user, allowing for a much desired telephone conferencing experience that rivals traditional conferencing technologies.

Until now, Ventrilo could only be installed on the Macintosh and Windows operating systems, but the future release will be compatible with Linux as well. You can buy Ventrilo software licenses to install the product on Solaris, FreeBSD and NetBSD systems to get VoIP functionality.
As a prerequisite, make sure you have a broadband internet connection in place, through which Ventrilo would perform exceptionally well with excellent call quality. The call quality is normally controlled by a ?codec? used in the Ventrilo system which uses the least amount of bandwidth possible while still creating audible calls. It is very efficient on your server?s bandwidth!
When does a call suffer? If the user is running a dial-up connection the call quality will suffer due to low bandwidth. Users with faster internet connections will experience high quality voice communication.
Ventrilo is currently available in two versions 2.3.0 and 2.3.1 (which is platform dependent). The software license was changed to serve only 8 users as a limitation. PRO versions also support up to 8 user connections due to the new license limitations.
