Ventrilo is the newest technology in VOIP, Voice over IP. Ventrilo is used to talk over the internet to anyone in the world as long as they have an internet connection. Many other companies have tried to copy this amazing software, but to no avail. You can configure your settings on how you hear the other person with options that include surround sound! Best of all you will not be bothered by Adware or Spyware. Recently it became available for Mac users as well.
